Why Do I Have to Continually Restart My Lenovo Thinkstation S20 Due to It Locking Up
Please provide more information so that the cause of your problem may be diagnosed.
Please restart your computer and allow 20 minutes for the system to run before uploading information required to help me investigate your problem. When examining Event Viewer log files many, not all, problems show in the period immediately after the computer has been booted.
Please provide a copy of your System Information file. To access your System Information file select the keyboard shortcut Win+R , type msinfo32 and click OK . Place the cursor on System Summary . Select File, Export and give the file a name noting where it is located. Click Save . Files in the txt file format are preferred. Do not place the cursor within the body of the report before exporting the file. The system creates a new System Information file each time system information is accessed. You need to allow a minute or two for the file to be fully populated before exporting a copy. Please upload the file to your OneDrive, share with everyone and post a link here. If the report is in a language other than English, please state the language.
Please upload to your OneDrive and share with everyone a copy of your System log file from your Event Viewer and post a link here. Please remove any earlier copies of the logs from your OneDrive.
To access the System log select the keyboard shortcut Win+R, type eventvwr.msc and press the ENTER key. From the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do not provide filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting Action from the menu . Do not clear logs whilst you have a continuing problem.

Here you go,

System Summary:

Please let me know if I did something wrong and need to redo it. I waited until I had connectivity issues again to get these reports. I notice in my system log there were a lot of errors with the network.

Hi,
To assist you with your concern, we would like to know the following:
- What was the last thing that you've done before the issue started?
- Is this happening to other devices that connects to the same network?
- Does the Wireless adapter driver on device manager disappears on some occasions?
- Have you tried uninstalling the Wireless driver?
If you haven't tried uninstalling the Wireless driver, we suggest that you perform this first, and put a check mark on Delete the drive software for this device, then reboot your machine. Once the reboot is done follow this steps:
- Go to Power Options.
- Click Change plan settings on the on the Preferred plans that you are using.
- Click Change advanced power settings.
- Click Wireless Adapter Settings.
- Power Saving Mode option will appear.
- Set it to Maximum Performance.
Other option is to contact your OEM's support team to get assistance on how to disable/enable Wi-Fi or Wlan on BIOS.
Alternatively, you can also refer to this article on how to fix network connection issues in Windows 10.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you.

1. The issue has always been present. It is more prevalent when connecting to the school internet (Literally every 30 minutes), but it happens at home as well.
2. My peer's devices have no issues connecting to the network on their laptops, only mine does. My phone doesn't have any issues either.
3. No, but I did notice something peculiar is that a whole bunch of devices showed up under "Network Adapter" yesterday (Like almost 10, a lot had "WLAN" in their name) . After I restarted, they were still there, but as I am writing this post there are only 2 devices under "Network Adapter" now. I didn't get a chance to screenshot it, I will if it shows up again.
4. I have.
5. Power settings for network adapters were already set to Maximum performance.
Were you able to deduce anything from system log and system summary?

Have you tried calling the manufacturer of your rig? I think you need to update the firmware of your BIOS.

In Windows 10 use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Esc, it gets you to Task Manager quicker. Select the Performance tab 1 , open Resource Monitor (bottom of window) 3 , and Memory tab 5 (in second image). What are the figures for Hardware Reserved, In Use, Modified, Standby and Free 6 ?
The information required is in the second image.
Please remove Avast to see whether this improves your Wifi connectivity.

Thank you for continuing to respond to me. I really appreciate the help.
Here are the stats:
Hardware Reserved: 97 MB
In Use: 2238 MB
Modified: 54 MB
Standby: 1482 MB
Free: 224 MB
I don't think I have avast installed on this computer but I will run the uninstaller anyways in case Asus had it installed in the background without me knowing (I'm using Windows Defender). I remember seeing it in the system overview for some reason.
I managed to screenshot the device manager, sometimes it only shows two devices (the wireless network adapter and the family controller), and other times it ends up looking like this:
https://1drv.ms/i/s!AlqeqA8sDGOTkkQG2aoQS3w1jfWF
Not sure if this has anything to do with it but hope it helps.
Again, thanks for your time.

Another symptom I've noticed is when the internet connection issue arises, all the Wireless networks on my list appear to have no signals. After 2-3 minutes, the signals will come back, but any attempts at reconnecting will result in it telling me "Unable to connect".
